Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools and operate tools safely per state laws.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to identify and fix problems.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Read, write, and communicate effectively for policy adherence.
• Proficient with internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Solid mathematical skills for financial and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assists and completes work orders from residents and routine upkeep by diagnosing defects and repairs.
• Oversees and completes the make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections and punch lists.
• Develops standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas.
• Inspects work by team members and contractors for quality and compliance.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and orders supplies within budget.
• Performs monthly preventative maintenance as outlined in policy.
• Assists in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Attends safety meetings and ensures MSDS and OSHA compliance.
• Provides courteous service to residents and staff.
