Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance technician to perform and supervise routine upkeep, diagnose issues, complete work orders, and ensure safety and quality standards across the community.

You will manage the make-ready tasks for vacancies, monitor grounds, exteriors, and common areas, maintain tools and inventory, and support budget and safety compliance while delivering excellent resident service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in property maintenance or related trades preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and basic maintenance equipment.
• EPA certifications required if working on HVAC systems.
• Valid driver’s license for on-site duties.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and diagnose/build repairs per policy.
• Complete and oversee the make-ready process for vacant units.
• Maintain and improve the community’s grounds, exteriors, and common areas.
• Inspect work of team members and contractors, ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Manage inventory of parts and tools, coordinate with Community Manager on budgets.
• Conduct monthly preventative maintenance and stay current on safety regulations.
