Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering (BLE) is seeking a Property Condition Assessor and Building Inspector to support Project Managers in completing Property Condition Assessments and other building evaluations. Duties include identifying deficiencies across HVAC, structural, and facades, and developing 10-year cost estimates.

About half of the workload is field-based with the remainder spent in the office preparing technical reports.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction, architecture, or engineering.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass drug screening.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to interview on-site at the position location.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate buildings for deficiencies in HVAC, MEP, roofing, façade, foundation, and structure.
• Prepare reports with 10-year repair cost estimates.
• Approx. 50% field-based work; rest in office preparing technical reports.
• Maintain knowledge of mechanical, structural, civil, and geotechnical engineering principles.
• Assess building component life cycles and replacement costs.
• Adhere to ADA and Fair Housing Act requirements.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Communicate clearly with clients and project teams.
