Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering (BLE) in Columbia, SC seeks a Property Condition Assessor and Building Inspector to assist Project Managers in completing and finalizing Property Condition Assessments (ASTM E2018-24) and other specialized building condition assessments.

Responsibilities include evaluating buildings for deficiencies in HVAC, MEP, roofing, façade, foundation, and structure, and preparing reports with 10-year repair cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction, architecture, or engineering discipline.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of mechanical, structural, civil, and geotechnical engineering principles.
• Understanding of building component life cycles, system condition evaluation, and replacement costs.
• Familiarity with ADA and Fair Housing Act requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Willingness to pursue additional building inspection certifications.
