Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. (BLE) is seeking a Building Inspector to serve as a field representative, ensuring construction activities comply with approved plans, codes, and local ordinances.

You will perform inspections across residential, commercial, and industrial projects, and document findings in detailed inspection reports. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of construction experience, ICC/ACI certifications, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Requirements include active ICC or ACI certifications (Concrete & Rebar, Soils/Foundations, Structural Steel, Masonry as applicable).
• 2–5 years of construction experience demonstrating knowledge of construction.
• Must be able to work outdoors on a construction site in all seasons and weather conditions.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Field inspections of structural elements across projects including reinforced concrete, rebar layout, and soils.
• Testing & sampling of construction materials (e.g., concrete slump, air content).
• Plan & spec review of blueprints, shop drawings, and WPS.
• Discrepancy reporting to contractor, engineer, and project manager.
• Prepare daily electronic field reports and final sign-off documentation.
