Job summary

The Property Condition Assessor and Building Inspector will assist Project Managers in completing and finalizing Property Condition Assessments (ASTM E2018-24) and other specialized building condition assessments. Responsibilities include evaluating buildings for deficiencies in systems such as HVAC, MEP, roofing, façade, foundation, and structure, and preparing reports with 10-year repair cost estimates.

Approximately 50% of the work is field-based, with the remainder in the office preparing

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction, architecture, or engineering discipline
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass drug screening
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Ability to interview on-site at the position location

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of mechanical, structural, civil, and geotechnical engineering principles
• Understanding of building component life cycles, system condition evaluation, and replacement costs
• Familiarity with ADA and Fair Housing Act requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently
• Willingness to pursue additional building inspection certifications
