Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Community Manager in Birmingham to oversee day-to-day property operations for a 517-unit Garden community. The role leads staff, manages budgeted performance, and ensures compliance with housing laws while maximizing occupancy and revenue.

You will drive leasing activity, supervise maintenance and property services, and maintain strong owner relationships, with a focus on resident satisfaction and financial accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college preferred in Business Management, Real Estate, or related field.
• 4-6 years minimum of relevant experience in property management, sales, marketing, and customer service to manage day-to-day operations.
• Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to lead a team and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of an assigned property, including team, activities, and resources to achieve budgeted goals.
• Oversee leasing, rent collection, invoicing, and vendor payments with timely financial reporting.
• Supervise property staff including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Promote resident satisfaction and retention by addressing complaints and service requests promptly.
• Conduct property inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal.
• Collaborate with owners and provide property performance updates.
