Job summary

The City of Fort Worth's Financial Management Services Department, Property & Casualty division, seeks a Property & Casualty Supervisor to lead the claims team and ensure compliant handling.

You will oversee workloads, improve processes, coordinate with City Attorney’s Office, and contribute to risk management and staff development. Requires a BS in a related field, 4 years of claims experience, and a current P&C license in Texas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• 4 years of property and casualty claims handling/related experience.
• 3 years of administrative and supervisory experience.
• Valid Texas driver’s license.
• Possession of P&C license by the Texas Department of Insurance.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and leading claims adjusters, assigning workloads, and evaluating performance.
• Reviewing, assigning, and monitoring property and casualty claims for timely handling.
• Resolving escalated claims and coordinating with City Attorney’s Office on evaluations.
• Identifying process improvements to bolster efficiency and customer service.
• Preparing and reviewing operational and financial reports; ensuring compliance.
• Collaborating with City departments, Legal, Finance and external partners on risk issues.
• Assisting with contract reviews and ensuring appropriate risk transfer.
• Monitoring expenditures and supporting budget planning and daily operations in absences.
