Job summary

El Paso County 911 District seeks an experienced insurance program manager to oversee workers’ compensation, property/casualty, and subrogation/recovery claims. The role includes coordinating claims processing, implementing risk-transfer strategies, and guiding a team to timely resolution.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 4 years of claims administration experience, and at least 2 years in a supervisory role, with relevant licenses or certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business or Public Administration, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field.
• Four (4) years of professional experience administering workers’ compensation, property and casualty insurance claims, self-insurance, or captive insurance programs, including two (2) years of lead or supervisory experience.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver's License or equivalent; Workers’ Compensation Adjustor’s license within 1 year; Property & Casualty Adjuster license within 1 year; risk management credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with human, physical, and liability claims.
• Administer and coordinate claims processing and implement strategies to prevent, control, and transfer risks.
• Manage all claims to full and successful resolution; supervise staff and coordinate with City Attorney’s Office and RMIS data.
