Job summary

Southern States Cooperative, Inc. seeks a Service Technician to install, repair, and maintain propane and oil-burning systems for SSC customers. You will read blueprints, diagnose malfunctions, and perform safety‑driven repairs.

You will coordinate with facility leadership for dispatching, scheduling, parts supply, and billing while upholding SSC policies and OSHA/EHS standards. A CDL, propane certification, and field readiness are expected.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Requires Petroleum and/or Propane Certification (or ability to obtain).
• Requires Commercial Driver's License (Class C or Class B) depending on location and Hazardous Materials/Tanker Endorsements (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Install and repair propane and oil-burning systems per federal/state codes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and diagnose malfunctions.
• Provide reliable customer service, update on installation schedules and invoices.
• Coordinate with leadership on dispatching, parts supply and job progress.
• Operate SSC commercial vehicles in compliance with policies and regulations.
