Job summary

Hudson Cooper Search is looking for a Project Executive in New York City to lead corporate interior and retail projects. You will manage a diverse portfolio, typically ranging from $1m–10m, with full ownership and decision-making autonomy.

The role also involves mentoring upcoming project managers and shaping team dynamics. The position offers a competitive base salary of circa $250k–300k plus bonus, comprehensive healthcare, and a long-term incentive plan.

Project Executive – Corporate Interior & Retail Projects

Here's a chance to lead a whole division in an established GC with huge growth plans.

You'd be plugging straight into an established, well-respected NYC interiors portfolio, leading multiple projects typically in the $1m–10m range with real ownership from day one and the autonomy to run things the way you know they should be run.

It's also a chance to build something. You'd be mentoring and developing PM’s and SPM’s on live jobs, shaping the team around you rather than inheriting someone else's structure. About you:

• NYC / Tri-State GC/CM experience – hands‑on delivery experience as Project Executive/ Senior Project Manager with a GC/CM
• A track record running projects bid‑to‑closeout, under both stipulated/lump‑sum and GMP/CM contracts, with strong scheduling and financial controls (cost‑to‑complete, WIP, margin recovery)
• Solid New York GC experience delivering retail/ commercial interiors and/or hospitality fit‑outs
• Genuine line‑management experience – you've led 6‑8 people (PMs, APMs) with real accountability for their reviews, development and performance
• Passion for mentoring and developing teams – accessible with an adaptive leadership style
