Job summary

Unknown company in New York City is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead commercial interior and fit-out projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will collaborate with clients, field teams, subcontractors and design professionals to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of PM experience in NYC, deep knowledge of commercial interiors, and a proven track record with NYC GCs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in NYC.
• Strong commercial interiors / fit-out experience.
• Experience working for a NYC general contractor.
• Strong understanding of NYC construction processes, trades and subcontractors.
• Proven experience managing projects from award through completion.
• Strong client-facing communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial interior projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, procurement and cost control.
• Manage subcontractor buyout, contracts and change orders.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors and field teams.
• Manage RFIs, submittals and project documentation.
• Lead project meetings and provide regular client and internal updates.
• Partner closely with Superintendents to maintain schedule, quality and safety.
• Proactively identify and resolve project risks and challenges.

An established New York City General Contractor is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to its commercial interiors team. The Opportunity

The Project Manager will take ownership of commercial interior and fit-out projects from preconstruction through final closeout, working closely with clients, field teams, subcontractors and design professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage commercial interior projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, procurement and cost control
• Manage subcontractor buyout, contracts and change orders
• Coordinate with clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors and field teams
