Job summary

You will interpret drawings for craft workers, coordinate with site departments, prepare estimates, and develop data with quantity take-offs and material costs to help win bids and keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• At least 2+ years of estimating, engineering, field support, or similar experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office and AGTEK Take-off software.
• Ability to perform trigonometrical calculations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
• Interpret design/drawings for craft workers to ensure specifications are followed.
• Interface with on-site departments to resolve problems and support project schedule.
• Research and resolve drawing interpretation issues to verify compliance with codes, drawings and specs.
• Prepare documentation like status reports and punch lists for accuracy.
• Provide material controls support to minimize additional costs.
• Prepare drawings/sketches to support change orders and estimates.
• Provide building control lines and elevations for accurate installation.
• Develop data including quantity take-offs, material prices, labor costs, and equipment.
• Research historical data to create summary reports for future estimates.
