Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a Project Engineer II to independently manage project-engineering responsibilities supporting heavy civil construction. This on-site, travel-heavy role works with project management and field leadership to align cost, schedule, quality, and contract requirements.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field and 2+ years in construction estimating, engineering, or field support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Two or more years of construction estimating, engineering, field support, or similar experience.
• Demonstrated experience independently managing assigned project-engineering responsibilities, including project controls, quantities, field coordination, documentation, or technical support.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage assigned project-engineering activities from planning through completion.
• Interpret plans, specifications, drawings, and contract requirements to support field execution.
• Identify, coordinate, and document resolution of design questions, constructability issues, changed conditions, and field conflicts.
• Coordinate layout, measurements, elevations, quantities, and other field-engineering activities.
• Manage assigned quantities, production tracking, labor, equipment, costs, forecasts, and project performance information.
• Support development and maintenance of project budgets, forecasts, job controls, and reporting.
