Job summary

Henderson Group in Tampa, FL is seeking a Project Engineer to lead engineering and project controls on heavy civil highway and bridge projects across Florida. With 5–8 years of civil construction experience and a BS in Civil Engineering (Construction Eng & Management), you will use Primavera P6, Excel and Word to manage schedules and costs.

FDOT exposure is a plus; relocation is welcome. You will support PMs, prepare schedules, track costs, coordinate subs and assist with monthly billing to keep

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of experience in the civil construction field, office and field.
• BS in Civil Engineering with Construction Engineering and Management emphasis.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, Excel and Word.
• FDOT project experience is a plus.
• Based in the Tampa Bay area or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Review the contract and specifications in their entirety.
• Support the Project Manager and Project Superintendent on day to day project needs.
• Prepare and update the project schedule in Primavera P6.
• Track quantities, project costs and forecasting.
• Get pricing from subcontractors and vendors, including change orders.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and crews to resolve field conflicts.
• Support monthly billing, cash flow projections and change order processing.
• Run document control for submittals, contract documents and record drawings.
• Review HeavyJob daily reports for accuracy.
• Keep NPDES permits, the SWPPP, inspections, survey staking and joint measurements with the owner on track.
