Job summary

A heavy civil highway and bridge contractor in Tampa, FL is seeking a Project Engineer to lead engineering and project controls for FDOT work. Qualifications

• 5–8 years of civil construction experience in office and field.
• B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management preferred.
• Proficient with Primavera P6, Excel and Word.
• FDOT project experience is a plus.
• Based in the Tampa Bay area or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Review contract and specs in their entirety.
• Support the Project Manager and Project Superintendent daily needs.
• Prepare and update the project schedule in Primavera P6.
• Track quantities, costs and forecasting.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and crews to resolve field conflicts.
• Support monthly billing and change order processing.
• Run document control for submittals and drawings.
• Review HeavyJob daily reports for accuracy.
• Maintain NPDES permits, the SWPPP, inspections, and survey staking.
