Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer for a heavy civil highway and bridge contractor in Tampa, FL. The role blends office and field work, owning project controls and contracts tasks for FDOT projects and related work across Florida.

Candidates should have 5–8 years in civil construction, a B.S. in Civil Engineering, and proficiency with Primavera P6, Excel and Word. Relocation to the Tampa Bay area is welcomed.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of civil construction experience in office and field.
• Experience managing multiple activities on heavy civil work.
• B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management emphasis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review the contract and specifications in their entirety.
• Support the Project Manager and Project Superintendent on day-to-day project needs.
• Prepare and update the project schedule in Primavera P6.
• Track quantities, project costs and forecasting.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and crews to resolve field conflicts.
• Support monthly billing, cash flow projections and change order processing.
• Run document control for submittals, contract documents and record drawings.
• Review HeavyJob daily reports for accuracy.
• Maintain NPDES permits, the SWPPP, inspections, survey staking and joint measurements with the owner.
