Job summary

Food Management Search, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer for its Tampa office, with 5–8 years in civil construction. You’ll own engineering and project controls on heavy civil highway work, much of it FDOT projects across Florida. Tampa Bay locals are preferred, relocation is welcome.

Responsibilities include Primavera P6 scheduling, cost tracking, subcontractor coordination, and document control. A clear path with a stable employer awaits committed professionals.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in civil construction, office and field.
• Experience managing multiple activities on heavy civil projects.
• B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• FDOT project experience is a plus.
• HCSS HeavyJob experience is a plus.
• Based in Tampa Bay area or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Review the contract and specifications in their entirety.
• Support the Project Manager and Project Superintendent on day-to-day needs.
• Prepare and update the project schedule in Primavera P6.
• Track quantities, project costs and forecasting.
• Get pricing from subcontractors and vendors, including change orders.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and crews to resolve field conflicts.
• Support monthly billing, cash flow projections and change-order processing.
• Run document control for submittals, contract documents and record drawings.
• Review HeavyJob daily reports for accuracy.
• Keep NPDES permits, the SWPPP, inspections, survey staking and joint measurements with the owner on track.
