Job summary

ExcelliSearch, Inc. in Tampa, FL is hiring a Project Engineer with 5–8 years in civil construction to own engineering and project controls for heavy civil highway work across Florida.

You will support the PM and Superintendent, develop schedules in Primavera P6, track quantities and costs, coordinate subs, and contribute to monthly billing and change orders. Relocation welcomed.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in civil construction, office and field.
• BS in Civil Engineering with construction mgmt emphasis preferred.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Excel and Word.
• FDOT project experience is a plus; relocation to Tampa.

Responsibilities

• Review the contract and specifications in their entirety.
• Support the Project Manager and Project Superintendent on day to day project needs.
• Prepare and update the project schedule in Primavera P6.
• Track quantities, project costs and forecasting.
• Get pricing from subcontractors and vendors, including change orders.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and crews to resolve field conflicts.
• Support monthly billing, cash flow projections and change order processing.
• Run document control for submittals, contract documents and record drawings.
• Review HeavyJob daily reports for accuracy.
• Keep NPDES permits, the SWPPP, inspections, survey staking and joint measurements with the owner on track.
