Job summary

Fransen Pittman in Englewood, CO is seeking a Project Engineer I to coordinate needs among trade partners and manage project documentation from start to finish. The PE will leverage plans and specs to answer questions and keep projects on track.

The role requires a 4-year degree (or 2-year degree with experience), strong tech skills (MS Office, Bluebeam) and the ability to read drawings. OSHA 30+ is a plus and the position is on-site with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 4-year B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management or 2-year A.S. in Construction management PLUS 2 years full time work experience.
• Strong technology skills; proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel, and Bluebeam. Revit and Revizto knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand all project documents (plans, specifications, etc)
• Professionally communicate with all levels of personnel within the organization and with external clients and partners
• Ability to collaborate as a team and work independently as needed
• OSHA 30-hour certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Gathering lead times for materials and ensure on-time review/approval to meet schedule
• Coordinate delivery of materials with subcontractors and site superintendent
• Thorough reviews of submittals before sending to Architect for final approval
• Generating RFIs to the design team
• Distribute up-to-date plans and specs to all subcontractors
• Assist with obtaining permits before project start
• Create and distribute punch lists to subcontractors
• Compile owner and operations manuals and warranties from subcontractors
• Gather Revizto and Revit files for import
• Assist in developing the Project QA/QC plan
• Maintain project documentation and files
