Job summary

Fransen Pittman General Contractors seeks a Project Engineer I to coordinate needs and resolve conflicts among trade partners, architects and subcontractors. You will leverage project plans and specs to answer questions and keep projects on track.

Responsibilities include material lead time gathering, on-site delivery coordination, submittal reviews, RFIs, plan distribution, permitting and punch lists. Strong detail focus is required.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree in Engineering or Construction Management or 2 year AS in Construction Management with 2 years of full-time experience.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and Bluebeam; Revit and Revizto knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand project documents (plans, specs).
• Excellent communication with all levels of staff and external partners.
• Team-oriented, detail-focused and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate needs and resolve conflicts among trade partners, architects, and subcontractors.
• Review project plans and specs; assist when questions arise.
• Gather material lead times and ensure timely approvals for schedules.
• Coordinate material delivery with subs and site superintendent.
• Review submittals before arch approval; issue RFIs to design team.
• Distribute up-to-date plans to subcontractors and assist with permitting.
• Create and distribute punch lists; compile owner/ops manuals and warranties.
• Gather Revitzto/Navisworks files for revit import.
• Assist in developing the project QA/QC plan and maintain project records.
