Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Project Controls Consultant to join the Earth & Environment Operations team in Texas and Louisiana. The role supports lifecycle stages from initiation to closeout and focuses on controls, budgeting, forecasting, and client collaboration across environmental and engineering projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in project controls or financial management.
• Foundational understanding of project management principles.
• Advanced proficiency with Oracle Primavera and MS Office.
• PMP certification is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage projects per WSP delivery procedures.
• Monitor budgets, expenditures, schedules, and performance.
• Provide updates on status, controls, and forecasting trends.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and process payments.
• Develop budgets and schedules; identify risks and actions.
• Ensure invoicing compliance and support collections.
• Assist with HSE requirements and plans.
• Document decisions and maintain project communications.
• Identify scope changes and issue change orders.
• Review resource needs and staff assignments.
• Serve as client-facing representative when needed.
• Coordinate deliverables and documentation timely.
• Assist with regulatory notifications and project records.
