Job summary

WSP is seeking a Project Controls Consultant to join its Earth & Environment (E&E) Operations team in Texas and Louisiana. You will support project delivery, financial performance, scheduling, forecasting, and resource management across a diverse portfolio of environmental and engineering projects.

You will work closely with Project and Technical Managers to ensure projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget, while meeting client expectations and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, with environmental science, engineering, or related technical field preferred.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in project controls, project coordination, financial management, or related disciplines.
• Foundational understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Advanced proficiency with project management software, including Oracle Primavera (P6 Scheduler, Portfolio Manager) and Microsoft Office.
• PMI PMP certification is considered an asset.
• Experience supporting field operations, procurement, or supply chain logistics advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Establishing, coordinating, and managing projects per WSP's standards and quality procedures.
• Collaborating with project teams to monitor and control budgets, expenditures, schedules, and performance.
• Providing timely updates on project status, controls, financial performance, and forecasting trends to managers.
• Coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers for work orders, payments, and invoicing.
• Developing and maintaining project budgets and schedules, identifying risks and corrective actions.
• Supporting closeout activities, document archiving, and lessons learned reviews.
