Job summary

Dow seeks a Project Controls Lead in Houston, TX to drive cost, schedule and risk management across complex capital projects. You will join the Project Steering Team and Design Team, integrating cost, schedule, risk, forecasting and change management throughout the project lifecycle.

You will lead the Project Controls resources, ensuring alignment with GPM processes, deliver timely forecasts and reports, and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 10+ years of related experience accepted in lieu.
• Minimum 5 years in Project Controls, Engineering, Manufacturing or Construction.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to influence without direct reporting line.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead the effective application of Project Controls processes, tools and best practices to improve cost, schedule and performance.
• Serve as the Project Controls leader on the Project Steering Team and trusted advisor to project leadership.
• Provide leadership to Project Controls resources across full project execution phases.
• Monitor workload demands and identify resource needs.
• Deliver accurate forecasting, cost reporting, schedule analysis and performance measurement.
• Complete Project Controls deliverables for monthly reports and executive reviews.
• Own the quality and integrity of all Project Controls documents and deliverables.
• Develop and communicate insights to enable proactive risk management and opportunities.
• Provide status reporting including forecasts for all project stages to stakeholders.
• Support IPA reviews and project assurance activities as required.
• Oversee Change Management and monitor impacts to cost, schedule, scope, and objectives.
• Utilize performance metrics to monitor health and identify improvements.
• Establish thresholds for Management Intervention and recommend corrective actions.
• Foster ownership, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement across the team.
