Job summary

AECOM, a global infrastructure leader, seeks an experienced Project Controller to support the Minneapolis, MN practice. The role offers flexible work options—remote, hybrid, or on-site—across a broad portfolio, including Science & Technology, Manufacturing, and Transportation sectors.

The Project Controls Specialist will manage budgets, schedules, and performance metrics across multiple projects, coordinating with PMs, procurement, and finance teams to ensure contractual compliance and timely

Qualifications

BA/BS plus 4 years in project controls or equivalent.
US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Review performance trends and prepare cost analyses and monthly project performance reports.
Prepare regular cost reports including actual and committed costs against budgets; update forecasts.
Establish project budgets from proposals and assist Project Managers with setup and execution.
Coordinate with project personnel to develop effective Work Breakdown Structures.
Communicate results of budget, cost, and schedule analyses to PMs and leaders; identify issues and recovery plans.
Lead meetings with internal teams, Project Approvers and Finance & Accounting.
Assist PMs with procurement to establish purchase orders and subcontracts; monitor spending against budgets.
Assist PMs with Salesforce entries and updates.
Monitor KPIs such as earned value, cost and schedule performance, estimate to completion.
Maintain data quality metrics including forecast end dates and estimates to completion.
Review client invoices for accuracy and establish invoice schedules.
