Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Project Controller to support the Minneapolis, MN architecture and engineering practice. The role offers hybrid/remote/work-from-home or on-site options based on the applicant’s preference.

The Project Controls Specialist ensures financial, schedule, and performance targets are met per client contracts and internal expectations. Responsibilities include cost reporting, budgeting, and coordinating with PMs across Ohio Teams and nationwide.

Qualifications

• BA/BS + 4 years of related experience in project controls.
• US Citizenship is a requirement for this role.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple project demands.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead project controls on both small and large projects for a large portfolio of projects and multiple PMs.
• Prepare regular cost reports including actual and committed costs against budgets; update forecasts.
• Establish project budgets from proposal estimates and assist with project setup.
• Coordinate with team to develop Work Breakdown Structures and communicate results to leadership.
• Monitor KPIs such as earned value, cost and schedule performance, and ETC.
• Review client invoices for accuracy and establish invoicing schedules.
