Job summary

AECOM seeks an experienced Project Controller to support the Minneapolis architecture & engineering practice. The role offers hybrid/remote/on-site options, with a focus on managing budgets, schedules, and cost performance across a portfolio of projects.

You will lead the project controls function, prepare monthly reports, coordinate with PMs, and ensure contractual and financial targets are met. Strong Excel skills and customer communication are essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS + 4 years of related experience in project controls or equivalent education.
• US Citizenship is a requirement for this role.
• Preferred: 8+ years of project controls experience in engineering/construction fields.
• Sponsorship is not available now or in the future for this role.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project controls function on multiple projects for a large portfolio of project managers.
• Review performance trends, prepare analyses and cost impact and monthly project performance reports.
• Prepare regular cost reports tracking actual and committed costs against budgets.
• Establish project budgets from proposal estimates and assist with project setup.
• Coordinate with project personnel to develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
• Communicate budget, cost, and schedule analyses to project leaders and implement recovery plans.
• Assist with procurement to establish purchase orders and subcontract agreements; monitor spending.
• Assist Project Managers with Salesforce entries and updates.
• Monitor earned value, KPIs, and project end dates; track unbilled and aged AR.
