Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Project Controller to support the Minneapolis architecture and engineering practice with hybrid work options. The role focuses on financial, schedule, and performance management across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with client contracts and internal expectations.

Responsibilities include preparing cost reports, updating forecasts, establishing budgets, coordinating work breakdown structures, and communicating results to PMs and leadership.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented, efficient, and organized.
• Able to prioritize and meet requirements of multiple competing project demands.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work with teams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead the project controls function on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Reviews performance trends, prepares analysis and cost impact and monthly project performance reports, and recommends contractor invoices for approval.
• Prepare regular cost reports including tracking actual and committed costs against budgets. Update forecasts.
• Establish project budgets from proposal estimates and assist with project setup.
• Coordinate with project personnel to develop Work Breakdown Structures.
• Communicate results of budget, cost and schedule analyses to PMs and project leaders.
• Lead meetings with internal project teams, Project Approvers and Finance & Accounting.
• Assist Project Managers with procurement, PO creation, and subcontract administration.
• Monitor invoicing and aged AR, and ensure timely payments.
