Job summary

Mercy Health in Springfield Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for Progressive Care (Step down) to deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care as patients transition from ICU to med-surg. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and develop individualized care plans for optimal outcomes.

Requirements include an active RN license, BLS; ACLS preferred at hire with ACLS required within 6 months. BSN is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience (required)
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred at hire, ACLS required within 6 months)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, create a plan of care, implement treatment, and evaluate effectiveness
• Serve as the point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments
• Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department
• Administer medications in a safe manner per policy
• Other duties as assigned
