Job summary

Mercy Health in Springfield Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced RN for the Progressive Care/Observation Unit. You will deliver high-quality nursing care, collaborate with the care team, and coordinate patient transitions.

The position requires current RN licensure, with BLS or ACLS; BSN is preferred. A strong focus on patient safety and care planning is expected, with opportunities for professional growth and development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, not required.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• 1 year of RN experience required; 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment and develop care plans.
• Coordinate patient care across hospital departments as the primary contact.
• Act as patient safety advocate and participate in quality improvement.
