Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health's Springfield Regional Medical Center is seeking a Progressive Care (Step Down) Registered Nurse (RN) to provide attentive care in the ICU step-down unit. You will assess patient status, develop and revise care plans, and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include prioritizing patient needs, ensuring a safe environment, administering medications per policy, and serving as a liaison across departments.

Qualifications

• RN with 1 year of RN experience is required.
• ACLS preferred; must obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• BSN preferred; current RN licensure in the state.
• BLS required or ACLS preferred as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness.
• Serves as point of contact for care coordination across hospital departments.
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.
• Administers medications in a safe manner consistent with state practice and policies.
