Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Progressive Care (Step-down) Registered Nurse at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital to deliver high-quality nursing care in a diverse intermediate unit.

You will act as a liaison between Med-Surg and ICU, assess patient needs, and implement care plans to optimize outcomes. Ideal candidates hold an RN license, with BLS and ACLS qualifications; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in good standing (state of Ohio)
• BLS required; ACLS preferred at hire and ACLS Certification within 6 months of hire.
• New Graduate RNs welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care.
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and adjust plans of care.
• Act as the care coordination point across hospital departments.
• Administer medications safely per hospital policies and state regulations.
• Support patient safety and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
