Mercy Health's St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital is seeking an RN for Progressive Care (Stroke/8Se). The role emphasizes assessing patient status, coordinating between Med-Surg and ICU, and developing care plans to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience is required
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred
• Current RN licensure in the state
• BLS or ACLS certification preferred (ACLS required within 6 months)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness
• Serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization's policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
