Job summary

Mercy Health in Defiance is seeking a Progressive Care (Step down) Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality care. You will assess patient status, serve as the care line between Med-Surg and ICU, and develop care plans to improve outcomes while maintaining a safe environment.

The role requires 1 year RN experience and a state RN license, with BLS/ACLS as noted. Competitive benefits and advancement opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience (required).
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
• Current state RN licensure; BLS/ACLS preferred at hire; ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates effectiveness.
• Serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination across hospital departments.
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.
• Administer medications safely in line with policies and state practice.
