Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio seeks a Progressive Care (Step down) Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality nursing care to patients. You will assess status, develop care plans, coordinate with care teams and ensure a safe, therapeutic environment across Med-Surg and ICU transitions.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN preferred, current RN license, and BLS/ACLS certification. Prior LPN or CNA experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• RN licensure current in the state.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire; BLS required.
• Previous LPN or Patient Care Tech/CNA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment; analyze data and develop a plan of care.
• Serve as the point of contact for care coordination across hospital departments.
• Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in quality improvement.
• Administer medications safely according to policies and procedures.

Education

Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required)
