Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Youngstown, OH, seeks a Progressive Care (Step down) Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality nursing care. The role includes collaborating with the care team, assessing patients, and coordinating care across departments in a busy hospital setting.

Requirements include active RN licensure in the state and BLS/ACLS; ACLS within six months of hire is preferred. BSN is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state.
• BLS or ACLS required; ACLS within 6 months of hire or preferred at hire.
• BSN preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, develop a plan of care, implement treatment, and evaluate outcomes.
• Serve as point of contact for patient care coordination across hospital departments.
• Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.
• Administer medications in a safe manner per policy and practice standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
