Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation in Maryland seeks a Program Manager II to oversee integration and management of multiple complex projects and major systems, focusing on customer relationships, cost, schedule, and technical execution. You will manage programs with budgets of $20M+, supervise staff, handle high-risk cost/schedule decisions, and lead proposals from initial customer interaction through contract award.

A TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field; advanced degrees may substitute.
• 8+ years in project/program management in Aerospace/Defense.
• 3+ years leading medium-scale projects (1–2 years) with 5+ cross-functional staff.
• Experience with RFP/proposal evaluation, reviews, and submissions.
• Ability to execute program integration management and lifecycle control.
• Security clearance TS/SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee total Program Integration Management for multiple complex projects and major systems, focusing on customer relationships, cost, schedule, and technical planning.
• Track and report on project status, technical execution, and overall program performance.
• Supervise program and project staff to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Lead proposal tasks from first customer interaction, including defining requirements, creating basis of estimates, negotiating, and securing contract awards.
• Develop proposals, conduct research and fact-finding, coordinate audits, and negotiate with stakeholders.
• Support the Program Director and Business Operations in fulfilling responsibilities for the Business Area.
