About The Role
The role drives execution across engineering, product, and design teams, keeping complex technical programs on schedule from kickoff through launch. Programs span infrastructure, platform releases, and cross-team product initiatives with dependencies spanning multiple orgs.
The work matters because this company ships fast and coordinates loosely by design — the Program Manager is the connective tissue that turns ambiguous goals into plans, tracks risks before they become blockers, and gives leadership a clear, honest picture of progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end program plans for platform and product initiatives, including milestones, dependencies, and launch criteria
- Run weekly cross-functional syncs with engineering leads, PMs, and design; maintain decision logs and clear action items
- Track program health in Jira, Asana, and dashboards (Looker or similar); report status, risks, and tradeoffs to leadership
- Identify and elevate blockers early, negotiating scope and timelines across teams with competing priorities
- Coordinate launch readiness: release plans, comms, rollouts, and post-launch retrospectives
- Improve planning and execution processes — headcount planning, sprint cadences, OKR tracking — and document how the team works
- Manage program budgets and vendor timelines where applicable
What We Are Looking For
- 4-7 years of program, project, or technical product operations experience, ideally at a fast-moving technology company
- Experience managing multi-quarter technical programs involving engineering, product, and design teams
- Fluent with Jira, Confluence, Asana, or similar tooling; comfortable building status dashboards and executive readouts
- Strong written communication — crisp RFCs, status updates, and postmortems that people actually read
- Comfortable in ambiguous environments; able to build structure where none exists
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Bonus: experience with infrastructure or SaaS platform programs, technical background (CS degree or engineering experience), or formal certifications (PMP, CSM, SAFe)
