Job summary

Selfhelp is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Holocaust Survivor Program in New York. The role supports the coordination and operation of the program, including administration of emergency financial assistance and related reporting.

Responsibilities include assisting the Program Director with projects, maintaining records, and handling data entry and training compliance. A Bachelor's degree and strong bookkeeping skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Experience with bookkeeping and financial record keeping strongly preferred.
• Proficient with office machines and data entry.
• Computer literate with Word and Excel; knowledge of databases desirable.
• Strong problem solving, judgment, and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist Program Director with development, implementation and maintenance of departmental projects.
• Assist with program financial reporting and records; learn about German Government Home Care program.
• Prepare confidential reports and correspondence for the Program Director.
• Maintain filing systems, forms and programmatic records; manage doc workflow.
• Prepare monthly service summaries and statistics per standards.
• Coordinate with Finance on check requisitions and admin details.
• Provide program information to staff on eligibility and guidelines.
• Perform data entry and track payments from funding sources.
• May perform duties of the Program Director in their absence.
• Complete mandatory trainings on compliance, HIPAA, OSHA, IT security.
