Center for Teacher Effectiveness is seeking Professional Development Trainers for weekends and summers in Philadelphia. You can teach evenings, weekends, personal days, and over the summer as a 1099 independent contractor. This part-time contract work has no guaranteed hours and you choose training frequency.
Trainers deliver classroom management PD to K-12 schools, in person or virtually, with no territories. A training day typically pays $1,000 or more, and pay goes out every Friday.
You can keep teaching. Most of our trainers do, and they train on evenings, weekends, personal days, and over the summer. We're looking for educators in Philadelphia, Upper Darby, Norristown, Chester, and Bensalem who want to add training work around their school year.
Our trainers deliver classroom management professional development to K-12 schools, in person or virtually. We have been doing this work since 1993, for over 400,000 educators across the 50 states.
Here's how it works. You're a 1099 independent contractor, so no hours are guaranteed and the count of trainings rises and falls. It's part-time contract work, and you choose how often you train. A training day typically pays $1,000 or more, and pay goes out every Friday.
The schools you train for will mostly be ones you've reached yourself, with an outreach approach covered in certification. After a school is interested, your National Director drafts the contract and negotiates for you. There are no territories. Train in your district, close to home, or anywhere in the country.
Certification runs on weekends too: two of them, three days and 36 hours in total, all online. It can count for 4 graduate credits through UMass Global, and orientation, materials, and follow-up support are included.
Teachers, coaches, counselors, and principals all apply, current and former, along with other K-12 educators. Students can apply too if they plan to complete certification.
