Center for Teacher Effectiveness seeks trainers to lead classroom management workshops for K-12 educators. Trainings occur at schools or online, with hours varying by year and by district.
Current or former K-12 teachers, plus coaches and school leaders, are encouraged to apply. Certification spans two weekends; content mastery and delivery skills are developed, with potential graduate credits and ongoing support.
Were you the teacher who actually looked forward to the August in-service days? If so, and you're in Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Georgetown, or San Marcos, this could be a good fit.
Our trainers lead classroom management workshops for K-12 teachers and school staff. Some are full days and some are half days, and they happen at the school or online. The Center for Teacher Effectiveness opened in 1993 and has worked with more than 400,000 educators across the 50 states.
The role is 1099 contract work. There are no guaranteed hours, and how many trainings you run depends on the year and on the schools you reach. Trainers typically make $1,000 or more per training day, with pay every Friday.
Bookings mostly start with you. Certification teaches the outreach approach, including how presenting at conferences gets schools interested. Your National Director then writes the contract and handles the negotiation. We don't divide the map into territories, so you can work in your own district or anywhere else in the country.
Certification is online and runs over two weekends, 36 hours across three days. Content Mastery comes first, then High-Impact Facilitation. You can earn 4 graduate credits through UMass Global, and you'll have an orientation, the training materials, and ongoing support.
We look for current and former K-12 teachers, plus coaches, counselors, assistant principals, and principals. Most of our trainers fit the work around a job in a school, using evenings, weekends, personal days, and the summer.
