This listing is for instructional coaches, assistant principals, and retired principals in Dallas, Irving, Garland, Mesquite, and Richardson who want to keep working with teachers. Our trainers teach classroom management to K-12 staffs, in person or virtually, and a lot of what makes a good coach makes a good trainer.
We've been at this since 1993. In that time, more than 400,000 educators from every one of the 50 states have been through a Center for Teacher Effectiveness training.
It's 1099 independent contract work. We can't guarantee hours, and the number of trainings changes. When you train, a day typically pays $1,000 or more. Pay is every Friday.
Your own outreach brings in most trainings, and certification teaches the approach. Once a school wants to book, your National Director writes up the contract and negotiates it. There are no territories, so you can train close to home or travel anywhere in the country.
You'd start with our virtual Weekend Certification: two weekends, three days, 36 hours. Graduate credit is available, 4 credits through UMass Global, and you get an orientation and materials, plus support after you finish.
Current and former K-12 teachers, counselors, and other educators are welcome too. If you're retired, you have more days open, though most of our trainers still work in schools and train on evenings, weekends, personal days, and summers. Students may apply if they plan to complete certification.
