Center for Teacher Effectiveness seeks Professional Development Trainers for in-person and virtual sessions. Trainings occur in school libraries or via video calls across Fort Worth, Arlington, Keller, Mansfield and Burleson.
This 1099 independent contractor role offers flexible hours, with most training days paying $1,000 or more and trainers paid every Friday. Certification is provided online (three days, 36 hours) and ongoing support is included.
Some of our trainings happen in a school library in front of the whole staff. Others happen on a video call. Our trainers do both, and we're looking for educators in Fort Worth, Arlington, Keller, Mansfield, and Burleson to join them.
The training is classroom management professional development for K-12 schools. The Center for Teacher Effectiveness has offered it since 1993 to more than 400,000 educators, with trainings in all 50 states.
You'd work as a 1099 independent contractor without guaranteed hours, and your number of trainings will vary. You choose how often you train. Most training days pay $1,000 or more, and trainers are paid every Friday.
You'll find most of your schools through outreach, which certification teaches, and your National Director takes care of the contract and the negotiation. There are no territories. With virtual trainings, a school in another state is as easy to reach as one down the road.
Certification is virtual too, three days and 36 hours over two weekends. The first weekend covers Content Mastery, and the second covers High-Impact Facilitation. You can earn 4 graduate credits through UMass Global, and the orientation, training materials, and ongoing support are included.
The work fits current and former K-12 educators, whether you teach, coach, counsel, or lead a school. Most of our trainers are working educators who train on weekends, evenings, personal days, and over the summer. We also take students, provided they plan to complete certification.
