The Center for Teacher Effectiveness is seeking trainers in Phoenix, Mesa, Tempe, Chandler and Glendale to train K-12 staffs on classroom and behavior management. This is 1099 independent contract work with flexible hours.

Trainers typically earn $1,000 or more per day of training, and pay comes every Friday. Certification is the virtual Weekend Certification, three days and 36 hours split across two weekends, with optional graduate credits through UMass Global, plus orientation and ongoing

Job description

If you're the person teachers call when a class gets out of hand, you already do part of this job. We're looking for behavior specialists, deans, counselors, and teachers in Phoenix, Mesa, Tempe, Chandler, and Glendale to train K-12 staffs on classroom and behavior management.

The Center for Teacher Effectiveness has been training educators since 1993, more than 400,000 of them in all 50 states. Our trainers present to school staffs in person, and online when that works better for the school.

The role is 1099 independent contract work. Hours aren't guaranteed, and the number of trainings in a year goes up and down. Trainers typically earn $1,000 or more per day of training, and pay comes every Friday.

Your trainings will mostly come from schools you build relationships with, and certification shows you the outreach approach for doing that. Your National Director writes each contract and handles the negotiation. You won't have a territory, so you can work in your own district, nearby, or anywhere in the country.

Certification is our virtual Weekend Certification, three days and 36 hours in total, split across two weekends. You can take it for 4 graduate credits through UMass Global. You also get an orientation and the training materials, and the support continues after certification.

School psychologists and social workers fit too, along with current and former K-12 teachers, coaches, and principals. Most of our trainers still work in schools and take trainings on evenings, weekends, personal days, and summers.
