The Center for Teacher Effectiveness seeks experienced trainers to present classroom management workshops to teachers across Texas and beyond, with both in-person and virtual options. This 1099 independent contractor role offers flexible hours, training days that typically pay $1,000 or more, weekly payments, and no guaranteed hours.
Trainers handle their own bookings with support from the National Director.
Some educators are at their best in front of a room of adults. If that's you, and you live in or near San Antonio, New Braunfels, Schertz, Boerne, or Seguin, this role puts you in front of teachers as a classroom management speaker and trainer.
The Center for Teacher Effectiveness was founded in 1993. Our training has reached over 400,000 teachers and school staff, in every state, and our trainers deliver it to K-12 staffs at schools and online.
Pay and terms: this is a 1099 independent contractor role with no guaranteed hours, and the number of trainings varies. Trainers typically earn $1,000 or more for a training day and get paid every Friday.
The bookings mostly come from schools you connect with on your own. Certification teaches how to do that, including presenting at conferences so schools get to know you before they book. Your National Director writes the contract and handles negotiation. There are no territories, and you can train in person or virtually, anywhere in the country.
Everyone starts with the virtual Weekend Certification, which takes 36 hours over three days and two weekends, Content Mastery first and High-Impact Facilitation second. You can earn 4 graduate credits for it through UMass Global, and it comes with an orientation, training materials, and ongoing help.
It suits current and former K-12 educators of all kinds: teachers, counselors, coaches, assistant principals, and principals. Most of our trainers still work in schools and book trainings for evenings, weekends, personal days, or summer. College students who plan to complete certification are welcome as well.
