Job summary

Konica Minolta is seeking a Production Systems Specialist to service on-site KM production printers and related equipment within the local territory. You will diagnose, repair and deploy systems, and assist customers with basic printing tasks.

The role requires electrical/mechanical aptitude, familiarity with Windows and Mac environments, and strong communication skills. Travel locally and occasional training trips are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess electrical/mechanical aptitude.
• Familiar with printing from common business applications and graphics programs.
• Windows OS peer to peer and MAC OS client side of server environments.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize activities.
• Professional appearance and excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Teamwork; must work well with others
• Basic knowledge of Word and Excel; understands territory parts budget and inventory control.
• Assist to create equipment deployments guides.
• High School diploma or GED; Technical School training preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience related to technical/repair of business equipment.
• Certified on N+ or equivalent; IT certifications or training are a plus.
• Pass background, security and drug test.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently.
• Performs on-site maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and customer call assistance on KM Production, Color production, MFP equipment and printers.
• Configures and troubleshoots networking issues on Windows/MAC OS, loads drivers, transfers address books and performs firmware upgrades.
• Travel locally to customer sites daily and manage territory workload with strong communication.
• Occasionally travel outside local area for training.
• Communicate with management on customer or field issues.
• Complete training classes and service those products, with the ability to request assistance when necessary to meet customer demands.
• Follow call handling procedures while maintaining productivity metrics.
• Maintain accurate ASL truck inventory for designated territory.
• Train customers on basic printing, scanning, copying functions.
• Accurately and timely complete weekly timesheets and expense reports.
• Provide sales support as required (i.e. advising sales on problems accounts, service leads).
