Smithfield Packaged Meats Corp is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead on the manufacturing floor. You will oversee daily production, enforce safety and quality standards, and coach a team to meet targets with efficiency.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2+ years of experience, with the ability to work long hours and weekends as needed. You’ll drive continuous improvement, monitor yields and variances, and coordinate with Operations Managers to keep production

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications.
• Experience leading training, coaching, or mentoring staff on processes or projects.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities with solid analytical and math skills.
• Able to motivate and coach employees to peak performance in a respectful, team-oriented environment.

Aufgaben

• Safety and Compliance: perform daily inspections, lead safety audits, and ensure HACCP and USDA regulations are followed.
• Product Quality and Training: enforce Food Safety/Quality plans, train staff on SOPs, including lock-out/tag-out.
• Operational Efficiency: monitor yields, efficiencies, and variances; collaborate to improve workflows and equipment usage.
• Team Leadership and Communication: guide hourly production staff, lead monthly line meetings, and maintain daily floor presence.
• Continuous Improvement: analyze metrics to identify improvements and reduce costs while maintaining quality.
