Job summary

Smithfield Packaged Meats Corp is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee the full production process on the floor, monitor yields, and adjust operations to keep lines running safely and efficiently. You will ensure adherence to HACCP and USDA standards, train and coach hourly staff, lead monthly line meetings, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining quality and controlling costs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience.
Experience leading and coaching staff, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to motivate teams and maintain a respectful work environment while meeting targets.

Responsibilities

Safety and compliance: perform daily inspections, lead safety audits, enforce HACCP/USDA rules.
Quality & training: uphold food safety plans, train staff on SOPs and lock-out/tag-out.
Operational efficiency: track yields, improve workflows, reduce downtime and costs.
Team leadership: guide hourly employees, lead monthly line meetings, daily floor walk.
Continuous improvement: analyze metrics and drive efficiency and quality gains.
