Job summary

Smithfield Packaged Meats Corp is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead frontline operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across shifts. You will guide hourly staff, drive yields and cost improvements, and maintain equipment readiness to meet production targets.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of supervisory experience, with strong communication and training abilities. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required; relocation package available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of relevant lead/supervisor experience in manufacturing or operations.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; ability to train and coach staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and HACCP/USDA compliance on the production floor.
• Lead production employees, align on safety, quality and targets.
• Track yields, efficiencies, and costs; drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct monthly line meetings and daily floor leadership activities.
• Oversee equipment setup and routine maintenance for peak performance.
