Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee frontline manufacturing, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on the floor. You will lead shifts, mentor teams, and coordinate with Operations to meet daily targets.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's in Business or related field with 2+ years of leadership experience, strong communication, and problem-solving skills; willingness to work long hours and travel up to 5%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
• Experience leading/training or mentoring less experienced staff.
• Strong oral and written communication with problem-solving for complex processes.
• Motivate, train, and coach employees to peak performance and foster a positive environment.
• Able to work in fast-paced environments, long hours, weekends; travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Safety and HACCP/USDA compliance on the production floor; perform daily inspections and lead safety audits.
• Enforce Food Safety and Food Quality plans; train employees on safe operating procedures.
• Track production yields, efficiencies, and variances; collaborate with Operations to improve workflows and reduce downtime.
• Lead hourly production employees; conduct monthly line meetings and daily floor walks.
• Analyze key product performance metrics and suggest changes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
